You will need to bring a valid government-issued ID, the document to be notarized, and any other necessary paperwork or forms.

Yes, under MiLONA 2003 all public notaries in Michigan must carry a $10,000 bond. NNNP is also carried an errors and omissions policy. 

Michigan's Law on Notarial Acts of 2003 allows for a $10 service fee per notarial act. NNNP offers additional notarial acts at $5 per act for the five (5) additional actions, additional notarial actions beyond six (6) total will be charged at $3 per act. 

Example: for eight (8) total notarial acts the service fee would be $41.00.

MiLONA recognizes a public notary's ability to charge for travel. For 2023 the NNNP travel rates within Michigan are below.

• Within the Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, and Jackson counties flat rate travel is $20. 
• All other Lower Peninsula counties, $0.38 for round-trip service up to 150 miles; mileage over 150 will be charged at $0.25 per additional mile. 
  • Examples: For service into Saginaw County travel cost would be approximately  $57.00; service into Ionia County travel cost would be approximately $33.00; 

Examples total fee for service: 

• within Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, Jackson counties, first notarial fee ($10) plus (+) travel charge ($20) for a total (=) $30.00
• to Saginaw County, first notarial fee ($10) plus (+) travel charge ($57) for a total (=) $67.00.
